From Seoul, South Korea, the first Kompakt Record Bar was opened in 2018 by Jinmoo Choi, a graphic designer and accomplished DJ with more than 20 years of experience. Kompakt is the German word for compact, which refers to the small size of the first location.  Despite its small size, Kompakt Record Bar is all about great music, good drinks and atmosphere, driven by acoustically optimized high-end, vintage sound systems. Now with 4 locations, Kompakt Record Bar expresses their passion for music and record culture through garments and collaborations which have garnered much popularity all over South Korea.
