Based in New York City, Kate Walz explores themes of transparency and transition — through materials that are literally see-through, and techniques that create various illusions. Her work draws inspiration from in-between spaces, whether physical or a moment in time. The Studio collection is made in-house by Kate and her team, consisting exclusively of one-of-one garments, while Main Line is produced in small quantities by a local NYC factory.
