This denim jacket is made from 100% organic cotton denim woven on vintage looms in Okayama, Japan. The fabric, woven slowly on shuttle looms, retains the natural texture of cotton yarns, creating a rich, uneven finish. The warp is dyed with sulphur-based indigo, giving it a greenish, weathered tone, while the weft uses custom, yellowed, slub yarns for a timeworn effect.
The jacket features a "white ear" selvedge, with details like the cuffs and front edges showcasing this unique finish. Vintage-inspired Art Deco buttons and rivets are used, reflecting the changes in details seen in the 1940s. The signature leather patch is dyed with mud from Amami Oshima.
