In collaboration with Sydney painter - @leannexiu
The featured artist for the new chapter of our collaboration project “In-Motion”, Leanne Xiu Williams, lives and works on Gadigal land. Currently her practice involves locating her own visual language across a range of different subjects, such as through figures, portraits, and still life. She is interested in exploring how painting can allude to experiences beyond representation - in particular, she wishes for her paintings to evoke memories, dreams, and images that linger just beyond conscious thought.
We took a closer look at her creation in her studio, Leanne was wearing the new collection from Beams Boy, Tanaka and 810s. Focusing on silhouettes that she can be comfort with while creating, also showing the warmth that exist in her painting and personality.
