This dish combines pigments traditionally used to decorate unglazed ceramic with an unrefined ceramic clay, which gives this type of porcelain a natural and warm appearance typical of Japanese ceramics.
The cup has a decoration made with a brush using the traditional blue pigment Gosu. This decoration is also available on small Gosu plates, bowls, tea cups and teapots.
The Archives collection features traditional pieces produced in Arita using techniques from popular Japanese craftsmanship. Each piece is hand painted and has unique characteristics that may differ slightly from the copy presented.
