This dish combines pigments traditionally used to decorate unglazed ceramic with an unrefined ceramic clay, which gives this type of porcelain a natural and warm appearance typical of Japanese ceramics.
Hand decorated, the plate features dark enamel and vermilion red painted shapes. This decoration is also available on Gosu cups, bowls and tea cups.
The Archives collection features traditional pieces produced in Arita using techniques from popular Japanese craftsmanship. Each piece is hand painted and has unique characteristics that may differ slightly from the copy presented.
